A driver-level pre-use check that takes ten minutes and prevents most incidents.

Checklist steps

  1. Walk-around visual check

    Damage, leaks, loose parts and clean mast.

  2. Tyres and wheels

    Pressure, cuts, wear and secure nuts.

  3. Forks and mast

    No cracks, heel wear within limits, chains even and lubricated.

  4. Hydraulics and controls

    Lift, tilt and side-shift smooth with no drift.

  5. Brakes, steering and horn

    Service and park brake tested before use.

  6. Lights, alarms and seatbelt

    Reverse alarm, beacon and belt working.

  7. Battery or fuel and log

    Charge level, no leaks. Sign the daily log.
