A daily walk-round check for any commercial vehicle.

Checklist steps

  1. Tyres and wheels

    Tread, pressure, damage and wheel nut indicators.

  2. Lights and indicators

    All lights, brake lights and hazards working.

  3. Fluids and leaks

    Oil, coolant, screen wash and no puddles under the vehicle.

  4. Brakes and steering

    Pedal feel, park brake, air build-up if fitted.

  5. Mirrors, glass and wipers

    Clean, undamaged and correctly adjusted.

  6. Load security

    Straps, doors, tail lift and weight distribution.

  7. Report defects

    Log every defect, even minor. Do not drive category-A defects.
